5 Reasons to Upgrade to Fiber Broadband

Are you tired of slow internet speeds and unreliable connectivity? Looking for the best and fastest internet service option? It might be time to upgrade to Fiber broadband.

Fiber broadband, also known as fiber optic internet or Fiber to the home (FTTH), uses fiber optic cables to deliver high-speed internet to your home or business. Unlike traditional broadband, which uses copper wires to transmit data, fiber optic cables are made of thin strands of glass or plastic that use light to transmit data. This allows for much faster speeds and much more reliable connections.

Here are 5 benefits of switching to Fiber broadband:

  1. FASTER DOWNLOADS AND UPLOAD SPEEDS: Speed is the name of the game and with fiber broadband, you can enjoy download speeds of up to 500 Megabytes per second (Mbps) with fast broadband networks such as FiberOne, which is much faster than the average broadband speed of around 10-15 Mbps. This means you can download and upload larger files, stream movies, and play online games much faster than with traditional broadband or radio internet connectivity.
  2. MORE RELIABLE CONNECTIONS: You keep searching for “the best ISP (internet service provider) in Lagos” because you are tired of all the buffering when you stream your movies and music videos. An upgrade to Fiber broadband is the way to go. Because fiber optic cables are not affected by interference, your internet connection will be more stable and reliable. This means you won’t have to deal with buffering or lag when streaming movies or playing online games. Catching up with all the latest blockbusters on movie streaming platforms becomes your new hobby.
  3. BETTER FOR GAMING: If you’re a gamer, you know how important a fast, stable internet connection is. Fiber broadband is simply the best internet connectivity for a seamless gaming experience. With fiber broadband, you can enjoy smooth, lag-free gaming without worrying about your connection dropping out. Imagine playing call of duty with your crew with absolute ease and zero interference.

  4. FUTURE-PROOF: As technology continues to advance, the demand for faster internet speeds will only increase. Not too long ago, we marveled at the speed of 3G, now we need way much more to access available data and content on the internet. With connectivity to the best fiber broadband near you, you can be sure that you will be able to keep up with future developments in technology.FiberOne broadband
  5. UNLIMITED PHONE TALK TIME: Fiber broadband providers offer portable desk phones that enable you unlimited on-net phone talk time as part of their best broadband deals. A perfect example is the DECT phone from FiberOne broadband. It also gives you free talk time with other FiberOne users. This can help save a lot of phone bill expenses either at your home or in your workplace.

Overall, switching to fiber broadband can provide you with faster, more reliable internet access and a host of other benefits. If you’re tired of slow internet speeds and unreliable connections, it might be time to make the switch to FiberOne broadbandthe fastest internet provider in Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt, and Ilorin.

4 Internet Safety Tips Just For You

A large percentage of the Nigerian populace now relies heavily on the internet to enjoy social media, online banking, online learning, content creation, sports and movie streaming, and all kinds of entertainment. But a number of us do not understand how internet security works. A lot of our personal data which may include financial and other confidential information may be at risk if not well protected during time spent online.

To help, here are 4 internet safety tips just for you.

      1. Use Strong Passwords

Always pay attention to strong password requirements for your online accounts. Do not share your passwords with other people no matter what. Avoid auto-saving passwords on your web browsers if you can, this prevents access to your accounts by scammers. You can also write down your passwords on paper and keep them safe. Do not use common and easily guessable passwords.

      2. Pay attention to Software Updates

Always ensure the prompt installation of software updates on your devices, be it PC or mobile. These updates sometimes come with important security upgrades. This further increases security for you and your online accounts. Another way around this is setting up automatic updates on your devices so you never miss one.

       3. Use multi-factor authentication

You can go a step further in protecting your online accounts with the use of Multi-factor authentication. This makes it harder for scammers to log into your accounts if they do get your username and password. Examples of platforms that encourage the use of multi-factor authentication include search engine giants Google and the cryptocurrency platform Binance.

New Identity as Lanre Ore Spearheads FiberOne Rebranding

Great things are happening in our country, Nigeria. In the past four weeks, the corporate industry appears to have been given a boost. Innovations are on the horizon, it seems, and some of these innovations, like Lanre Ore’s FiberOne, will serve as frameworks and foundations for the others. Considering Ore’s recent rebranding of the fibre broadband company, one can only expect the best from the rebranded firm.

Even though its services are far above average, it has been a while since FiberOne was in the news. Nevertheless, the company has burst upon the media scene with its latest actions. The company had announced that starting June 1, 2022, FiberOne Broadband would take on ‘a new way of life’ with a new logo and a renewed intention to make life and living easier for Nigerians.

Ore’s rebranding initiative doubtlessly comes from a recognition of the role that internet connection plays in the lives of Nigerians. Established in 2017, its focus is on providing the best and most affordable internet connection to Nigerians since its launch in 2017. Now, as Ore explained, the goal of the company is no longer to provide internet connections but to enable them.

Expectations from Nigerians are at an all-time high, to say the least. After all, Ore and his company have never failed Nigerians before. This is why they have been able to establish a strong business presence all over Nigeria, including in Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, and Kwara. With this rebranding, it is expected that FiberOne will be able to reach areas in Nigeria heretofore untouched and untouchable by the internet.
