FiberOne Dominates Titans of Tech Africa 2025

Broadband made a bold statement at the Titans of Tech Africa Conference & Expo 2025, held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos. As the continent’s most influential digital summit marked its 21st edition, FiberOne didn’t just show up — we showed up ready to lead. We didn’t just connect; we inspired, challenged, and changed the narrative. Representing our CEO, Lanre Ore, our Chief Experience Officer, Adeyinka Isioye, delivered one of the conference’s most talked-about keynotes: “Rewriting the Digital Playbook: The Rise of Broadband as a Tech Game Changer”.

Rewriting the Digital Narrative: The Power of Broadband

In his keynote, Isioye drew from personal experience to highlight how far Nigeria has come and how far we still need to go. He recounted missing a life-changing job opportunity years ago due to poor internet access, a stark reminder of how connectivity can make or break real lives and futures.

He painted a clear picture of the broadband divide: while urban Nigerians enjoy fast streaming, remote work, and digital services, over 60% of Nigerians and 70% of Africans still lack reliable broadband access. The consequences are profound—from students missing out on digital education to rural communities being cut off from telehealth and job opportunities.

The Digital Crude: Broadband as a Catalyst for Economic Growth

The keynote underscored a powerful message: broadband is the new oil. Backed by global data, Isioye emphasized how closing Nigeria’s broadband gap could unlock over $45 billion in annual GDP, outpacing even the country’s 2025 national budget.

He also addressed the heavy burdens faced by ISPs in Nigeria: exorbitant fibre deployment costs, delayed Right of Way (RoW) approvals, unreliable power supply, and low ARPU (Average Revenue Per User), all of which slow expansion efforts. Yet, despite the odds, ISPs like FiberOne continue to push boundaries—delivering innovation, connectivity, and hope.

Policy Progress and New Possibilities

FiberOne’s address celebrated ongoing national progress. From RoW fee reductions and the licensing of MVNOs, to the ambitious National Broadband Plan (2020–2025) and the National Digital Economy Strategy (2020–2030), Nigeria is laying the groundwork for a more inclusive digital economy.

The keynote offered practical, scalable solutions to bridge the broadband gap:

  • Broadband Infrastructure Bonds
  • Shared Rural Fibre Consortia
  • Fixed Wireless MVNO Enablement
  • Community Mesh Networks
  • Solar-powered Micro Base Stations
  • Broadband-for-Jobs Schemes

These models, grounded in both innovation and empathy, have the potential to transform underserved communities into connected, empowered hubs of economic growth.

Award Recognition: FiberOne Takes Home Two Prestigious Honours

The conference also marked a proud moment for FiberOne, as the company was recognized with two major awards:

Customer-Choice Broadband Provider of the Year
Digital Connectivity Game Changer of the Year (Awarded to CEO Lanre Ore)

These recognitions are a testament to FiberOne’s relentless commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction in Nigeria’s broadband space.

The Road Ahead: A Connected Future Powered by FiberOne

As the keynote closed, the message was clear: broadband is more than just cables and signals—it is the foundation of Nigeria’s digital future. From education to innovation, from healthcare to national prosperity, FiberOne is committed to unlocking unlimited possibilities for all Nigerians.

“The future is already here—it’s just not evenly distributed.”

President Tinubu’s 2 Years: FiberOne Commends Digital Growth and Broadband Achievements

As Nigeria marks the second anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, FiberOne, the country’s leading fiber broadband internet provider, has praised the government’s bold steps in transforming the nation’s digital economy and strengthening broadband infrastructure.

In a statement shared with the media, FiberOne CEO Lanre Ore commended the President for leading a digital-first agenda that is fueling economic growth, improving internet access, and setting the foundation for long-term digital inclusion.

President Tinubu’s leadership in accelerating Nigeria’s digital economy and broadband infrastructure rollout stands out significantly among his administration’s first two years of achievements.

Enabling a Thriving Digital Economy

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the telecom sector contributed over ₦3.3 trillion to Nigeria’s GDP in Q1 2025, highlighting the critical role of broadband infrastructure in driving economic growth.

Access to fast, affordable internet powers small businesses, remote learning, fintech innovation, and job creation. President Tinubu’s reforms are creating the right conditions for ISPs like FiberOne to deliver better service across the country, the company stated.

Supporting National Development Through Connectivity

FiberOne is aligned with the Federal Government’s 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) program, which aims to train Nigerians in digital skills by 2027.

Our efforts include:

  • Expanding last-mile fiber to underserved areas

  • Deploying WiFi 6 routers for faster, more reliable home internet

  • Offering CSR initiatives and technical training through the FiberOne Training Academy (FOTA) to prepare youth for careers in tech.

These initiatives directly support Nigeria’s goal of building a future-ready workforce and bridging the digital divide.

A Stronger Public-Private Collaboration

FiberOne also applauded the evolving partnership between ISPs and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), which has helped foster a better regulatory environment, empowering telecom providers to scale faster and serve more Nigerians.

“Fiber broadband in Nigeria is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. We are proud to support the Federal Government’s mission to deliver reliable, fast internet to millions,” said Lanre Ore.

Conclusion: Building Nigeria’s Digital Future, One Connection at a Time

As Nigeria continues its journey toward becoming a digitally empowered economy, FiberOne reaffirms its commitment to expanding fiber broadband coverage, improving customer experiences, and collaborating with stakeholders to enable internet access that fuels innovation and economic prosperity.

FiberOne CEO Featured in Punch, Urges Pan-African Fibre Partnerships at GITEX Africa 2025

Looking for the best way to improve your internet connection at home or office in Nigeria? Shop WiFi 6 routers, extenders, and battery packs now on the FiberOne E-Shop to eliminate dead zones and stay online during power outages.

FiberOne Broadband’s Chief Executive Officer, Lanre Ore, is making headlines following his appearance at GITEX Africa in Marrakech, Morocco, where he delivered a compelling message on the future of digital connectivity in Africa.

Speaking during a high-level panel session titled “Critical International Partnerships for Fibre Deployment,” Ore stressed that Africa’s ambition for a thriving digital economy hinges on strategic collaboration and cross-border infrastructure development. His remarks, which were featured in Punch Newspaper, spotlighted the urgency of building inclusive fibre networks to bridge the digital divide across the continent.

Africa’s digital growth story will stall without a strong fibre-optic backbone,” Ore said. “No single entity, government or private, can build this future alone. We need alignment, investment, and shared vision across borders.

As Nigeria continues its drive toward 70% internet penetration, Ore pointed to the role of companies like FiberOne in supporting national efforts while pushing for wider regional partnerships that can unlock long-term impact. With over 33,000 subscribers and growing, FiberOne has become a key player in reshaping Nigeria’s broadband landscape since its inception in 2017.

Ore also acknowledged recent policy and infrastructure moves by the Nigerian government, including a $2 billion fibre expansion project and the launch of the Nigerian Broadband Alliance Network. Still, he emphasized the importance of private sector leadership in delivering last-mile connectivity and digital empowerment.

We see our work not just as providing internet, but enabling access to education, innovation, and economic opportunity, Ore noted. Fibre infrastructure is not a premium service, it’s foundational to Africa’s digital future.

His statements at GITEX Africa reflect FiberOne’s ongoing commitment to transforming connectivity into inclusion and to shaping the policies, partnerships, and platforms that will drive Africa’s digital transformation.

FiberOne CEO, Lanre Ore Champions Cross-Border Collaboration for Africa’s Digital Future at GITEX Africa

FiberOne, Nigeria’s leading broadband provider, has earned national spotlight in The PUNCH for its role in shaping Africa’s digital transformation. The recognition follows a compelling address delivered by FiberOne’s CEO, Lanre Ore, at GITEX Africa in Marrakech, Morocco, where he emphasized the critical need for collective action in driving the continent’s digital progress.

Speaking to a global audience of innovators, policymakers, and investors, Lanre Ore emphasized that Africa’s digital revolution is not a distant dream but a current and pressing reality. He noted that the key to unlocking its full potential lies in collaboration, across countries, sectors, and institutions.

During a featured session titled “Critical International Partnerships for Fiber Deployment,” our CEO, Lanre Ore, delivered a compelling address highlighting why fiber connectivity is more than a technical upgrade, it’s the foundation of equity, innovation, and long-term transformation. According to him, fiber infrastructure remains the most reliable foundation for enabling access, innovation, and inclusion. However, the scale of infrastructure required across the continent cannot be achieved in silos. He urged stakeholders to prioritize cross-border partnerships, investment in scalable digital infrastructure, and supportive regulatory frameworks to ensure equitable connectivity across Africa.

With Africa’s internet penetration at just 43.8% (versus a global average of 66%, ITU 2024), and an estimated 250 million Africans lacking reliable broadband access, the need for cross-border collaboration and strategic investment in fiber networks has never been more urgent. FiberOne’s presence at GITEX spotlighted our commitment to bridging this divide, starting with Nigeria, and extending across the continent. He cited the projected $180 billion value of Africa’s internet economy by 2025 as a call to urgency, stressing that the time to act is now.

Lanre Ore’s remarks, later featured in Punch News, reinforced FiberOne’s position as a key driver of Africa’s digital economy, advocating for a connected continent where no community is left behind.

FiberOne’s participation and growing recognition at GITEX Africa 2025 mark a proud moment in the company’s journey. With thousands of subscribers and a rapidly expanding footprint, FiberOne continues to play a pivotal role in building the backbone of Africa’s digital economy.

FiberOne Backs Youth Sports & Education with Greensprings School and Victor Ikpeba

FiberOne champions youth empowerment through a football and scholarship initiative led by Greensprings School, while expanding unlimited fiber internet to Awoyaya, Abijo, Majek, and Sangotedo in Lagos.

An Experience Like No Other in Lagos

In Nigeria, where over 60% of the population is under the age of 25 (World Bank, 2023), youth empowerment is not a luxury, it’s a national imperative. At FiberOne, we believe in unlocking the full potential of young Nigerians by supporting what matters most: access to opportunity, education, and digital inclusion.

That’s why we partnered with Greensprings School to sponsor the Greensprings Football Camp, offering a unique blend of sports, mentorship, and scholarship opportunities to talented kids nationwide.

Held over five days, this initiative featured:

  • Expert-led coaching sessions
  • Live scouting by top-tier Dutch and European football clubs
  • Opportunities for U-17 national team selection
  • And full university scholarships for standout players

What made the program even more iconic was the on-ground presence of Victor Ikpeba, Former African Footballer of the Year, who personally mentored participants. Victor Ikpeba’s involvement elevated the experience, instilling discipline, confidence, and aspiration in the boys and girls who dream of one day going pro.

According to FIFA, sports-based youth programs can improve school attendance by 20% and reduce dropout rates by as much as 30% when paired with academic incentives. By “catching them young,” this initiative bridges sports and scholarship in a country where access is often unequal.

But we didn’t stop there.

In a bid to continue fueling opportunity, FiberOne is also rolling out reliable, high-speed fiber broadband in nearby communities. Residents and businesses in Awoyaya, Majek, Abijo, and Sangotedo can now pre-order unlimited internet and be among the first to connect when we go live.

Click here to join the waitlist and be amongst the first people to get connected  in these areas.

With digital infrastructure playing a key role in both education and entrepreneurship, our goal is to ensure that future leaders, whether they are coding apps, studying online, or chasing Olympic gold have the tools to thrive.

FiberOne Tops Nigeria’s ISP Sector in Customer Satisfaction – NCSI 2024

FiberOne has once again solidified its position as a leader in Nigeria’s broadband industry, ranking #1 in the Internet Service Provider category in the 2024 Nigeria Customer Service Index (NCSI). With a score of 76%, FiberOne stands significantly above the telecommunications industry average of 63%, reaffirming its dedication to delivering seamless, responsive, and innovative customer experiences.

About the Nigeria Customer Service Index (NCSI)
The NCSI is Nigeria’s most comprehensive, independent benchmark for customer satisfaction across multiple sectors. Designed to evaluate customer perception of service delivery using quantitative methods and random sampling, the 2024 survey examined key service indicators such as:

  • Trust and Professionalism
  • Ease of Doing Business
  • Complaint Resolution
  • Innovation
  • Competence and Accessibility

FiberOne’s outstanding performance across these metrics speaks to a culture built on responsiveness, transparency, and forward-thinking service design.

Leading with Purpose: Our Commitment to Customer-First Growth

While some providers focus on rapid, expansive growth—sometimes at the expense of service quality—FiberOne has chosen a deliberate and sustainable approach. This has allowed us to scale responsibly while preserving our core commitment to excellence. The NCSI result validates that strategy, showing that steady growth—anchored in reliability, yields long-term customer satisfaction.

In a market where expectations are rising, we continue to invest in systems, people, and innovation that make everyday digital life more dependable. From onboarding to post-installation support, we’ve embedded customer care into every touchpoint of the FiberOne journey.

Innovation That Puts Customers First
We understand that superior internet service must go beyond speed; it must offer control, consistency, and convenience. FiberOne has launched several innovations to meet this need:

  • The MyFOB App, which empowers customers to:
  • Pause Your Link – temporarily suspend service when not in use.
  • Get Your Last Days Back – recover unused subscription days.
  • Upgrade Your Link – adjust broadband plans effortlessly.

Battery Pack Solution – in response to Nigeria’s inconsistent power supply, we introduced a smart power backup device to ensure our customers stay connected through outages.

Pre-Connectorized Cable (PCC) Deployment – this technology enhances network efficiency, enabling faster installations and improved service quality.

Navigating Industry Realities, Staying Focused on Service
Nigeria’s broadband industry operates in a dynamic landscape, marked by infrastructural costs, terrain complexity, and overlapping administrative requirements. FiberOne continues to adapt to this environment by prioritizing operational excellence and maintaining close alignment with evolving industry standards.

While the sector experiences its fair share of operational challenges, we remain focused on being proactive rather than reactive, building internal resilience so our customers never have to experience the friction behind the scenes. Regulatory frameworks are important pillars of stability, and we continue to work within them while staying agile and customer-focused.

A Recognition That Reflects Our Values
FiberOne’s NCSI leadership reflects years of consistent focus on four service pillars:

  • Unmatched Reliability – A robust Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network with exceptional uptime and speed.
  • Effortless Experience – A simplified journey from sign-up to daily usage.
  • Tech-Driven Service – Harnessing digital tools to improve convenience and transparency.
  • Customer Empathy – Listening, learning, and evolving with our users at the center.

Powering Nigeria’s Digital Future
Beyond the survey, FiberOne is shaping the future of digital access in Nigeria. From leading conversations at AfricaCom 2024 to expanding into new estates and business districts, we are laying the foundation for a more connected Nigeria, one community at a time.

We’re not just an internet provider, we’re an enabler of modern lifestyles, digital businesses, remote work, and virtual learning. And we’re honored that Nigerians have noticed.
